Locality: Cruzeiro Mine, Santa Maria do Suaçui, Governador Valadares, Vale do Rio Doce, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Dimensions: 9.3 × 5.6 × 5 cm

Description: Group of Elbaite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, between transparent and translucent, lustrous, and with geometric color zoning. The main crystal is complete and several of the secondary ones show the typical pegmatite formation fractures. This piece comes from the Peter Rosewarne collection (number Rc560) and the photo was taken with backlighting.
