Description: From a new find in 2024: Small octahedric Magnetites in gneissic matrix. These magnetites were weathered out in Scythian times (c. 250 mio. years ago), accumulated as placer deposit in ancient rivers and at the coast, and were mined in the area of Hoher Burgstall and other places until the 20th century. In this way they served as basis for the famous Stubai industries (tools and mountaineering eqipment etc.).
