Locality: Kuruman, Kalahari manganese field (KMF), Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Dimensions: 3.7 × 4.1 × 2.5 cm
Description: A group of well-defined crystals on matrix. They are bright and have a very intense color.
Ephesite, a phyllosilicate from the Mica Group, is a very rare species — even more so in crystals of this size and quality.
The specimen came from Charlie Key.
