Description: Galena Ballard Mine, Treece, Cherokee Co., Kansas, USA 6.6 x 8.0 cm. Galena is one of my favorite minerals. My wife jokes that our home is settling on one end because of the number of galenas in my collection. This one is very bright for a Tri-State specimen and very difficult to photograph because of the many reflective surfaces on the overgrowths.
