Description: Calcite Sgurr nan Cearcall, nr Glen Brittle, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK 63mm x 40mm x 20mm deep Calcite crystals in 'nailhead' habit, found on the sides of a large, otherwise empty cavity in a huge boulder. The only calcite I recall seeing at this locality. The glossy sheen is natural (etching from sea-water?). Self-collected 2011
