Description: My postulation of the possible first metabolism. The pyrrhotite/iron system catalyzes the boxed reaction. The acetyl-CoA (or its prebiotic ancestor) is linked to the Wood-Ljundhal pathway, in which iron sulfides and W/Mo are key factors. The minerals seems to be essential during the starting of the living systems.
