Mineral: Hübnerite on Quartz with Pyrite
Locality: Sweet Home Mine, Mount Bross, Alma District, Park County, Colorado, USA
Dimensions: 38 x 30 x 16 mm

Description: Sharp blades of lustrous black Hubnerite to 22 x 6 mm sit atop clear needle Quartz pounts to 15 x 2 mm. Several brassy Pyrite crystals to 7 mm are nestled amongst the Quartz. This is a fairly rich specimen of Hubnerite for the Sweet Home Mine, and the crystals display some flashes of red. Hubnerites were pretty rare at the Sweet Home.
