Description: This lustrous black prism came to me identified as foitite. Collected circa 1980s. Although foitite and schorl cannot be told apart without analytical methods, I will have to assume that this is foitite since the specimen was part of Dr. David London's Collection, and he is considered a pegmatite expert.
