Description: This is a cabinet specimen of marcasite with opaque calcite crystals from the Christiane Mine, Hesse, Germany. According to the Mindat.org page for this locality, the Christiane Mine was a former iron mine that was abandoned in 1963. This specimen was formerly in the collection of “H. Deisinger” (Heinz Deisinger?).
