Mineral: Aegirine and Epididymite
Locality: Mount Malosa, Zomba District, Malawi
Dimensions: 17,0 x 17,0 x 10,0 cm

Description: Main crystal size: 17,0 cm Intersecting sheaves of very brilliant crystals with often indistinct terminations. A sheaf seems to have been broken and then to have scarred over during its growth. The majority of the contact points on the sheaves are apparently old, as they have been partially covered by small cream-colored globules. An epididymite measuring 7.1 cm appears in white layers at the base of one of the sheaves. MIM number 1141 Photographer: Augustin de Valence (Aïnu)
