Mineral: Quartz
Locality: Les Rivoirands, Vizille, Grenoble, Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France
Dimensions: 7,0 x 6,0 x 9,0 cm
Description: Main crystal size : 5,5 cm
Y-shaped sharp and very prominent twin, surrounded by quartz needles; the group seems to be a floater and is covered with a thin layer of iron oxide giving it a beautiful yellow-orange iridescent color, which is why it has not been chemically removed, as is often the case.
