Mineral: Fluorite
Locality: Afton Canyon, Afton, Cady Mountains, San Bernardino County, California, USA

Description: Lustrous, translucent, dark-green, intergrown octahedrons of Fluorite to 16 mm across, accented with coatings of fine-grain white Quartz. California is not known for producing Fluorite, and there are only two localities that produce green (and octahedral!) Strongly fluorescent in LW, and less so in SW, which is uncommon.
