Locality: Joplin Field, Tri-State District, Jasper County, Missouri, USA
Dimensions: 4.2 x 5.5 x 5.6 cm

Description: Scalenohedral calcite crystals resting on a bit of chert matrix with pink dolomite. Many Tri-State calcites have been acid dipped to improve their luster. This one escaped that treatment and the surface features are still visible.
