Description: The people in Guateque are very proud of their 'arepas'. 'Arepa' has several meanings in Colombia but to make a long story short, it describes one of the most important things you could eat in the country. Arepa is a relatively flat disc made from corn flour. It's grilled and comes usually stuffed with cheese or/and ham. And yes, the people of this town have the right to be proud of their arepas - they are excellent!
