Mineral: Quartz pseudomorph after Calcite
Locality: Boldut Mine, Cavnic mining area, Cavnic, Maramures, Romania
Dimensions: 7.5 cm x 9.0 cm

Description: Classic hollow casts of quartz that has replaced scalenohedral calcite crystals. The surface of the quartz has a sugary texture and there are small pyrite and bournonite crystals scattered about.
