Mineral: Quartz (variety amethyst)
Description: La Sorpresa Mine, Amatitlán, Mexico. And to finish with the novelties of Mexico amazing amethyst like this one that came labeled as coming from the La Sorpresa mine in Amatitlán and unlike those known so far there, these are very transparent and very bright. I honestly don't know if they are new or old. Time will tell us if it is a novelty or an old lot that has now seen the light.
