Mineral: Wild Violet (Viola papilionacea)
Locality: Virginia, USA
Dimensions: Flowers up to 2cm widest dimension, more commonly 1.0-1.5cm

Description: Wild violets are edible, and are known locally throughout the Eastern US as Sweet Violet for the sweet taste. As a child, bouquets for Grammas always turned into jelly.
