So, it was a good meeting and we enjoyed talking about MINDAT and all the programs. Jim and I were recently made managers on their team, both of us are very interested in helping with endowments for the continuation of MINDATS future.

...We decide to take a break and head to the Sonoran Desert Museum on the west side of Tucson, a very beautiful facility with a zoo, mineral museum display area and lots of programs teaching about beekeeping, raptor rehabilitation, etc.

Tucson, drink LOTS of water, gatorade. Bring sunblock, a hat, chapstick. Comfortable shoes too.

...The entrance to the mineral museum area is pretty cool, they warn you to get your eyes adjusted once inside before walking around.
This is a great place to bring the family while in Tucson, you can enjoy lots of family and still visit minerals here.
