This year Jim and I suddenly decided to fly up to Massachusetts for a few days to attend the East Coast Gem and Mineral Show in Springfield. We arrived for opening day and enjoyed being amongst the first in the door. The weather is overcast with grey clouds and the threat of rain, and it's muggy. I felt as though I was back in Houston again.

After coming in we went to see Fred Wilda's wonderful display and paintings. He is the guest exhibitor this year. His work is amazing, and he is my favorite mineral artist.

Lady - have I told you how much you ROCK! this is so cool - I can leisurely stroll through the cases - view all of Fred Wilda's amazing art...and I don't have to melt in the heat!!!

Thanks everyone, lots more coming soon. I took TONS of photos and will be adding as I find time. We are off to the show shortly, will get many more photos today. I took over 500 yesterday!!! Many fun photos of the show. Here is one, of all the past exhibitors we could round up, along with Marty Zinn, the promoter of the show, and Fred and Helen. So, come back later for a continuing report!!!!
Dawn Minnette Cooper just got married, by the way, to Elgian Hurley.
