Good quality, Michael and I hope you have some more!
I'm planning my own collector's page in the near future, so I have to do a lot of photographs and I want to show a lot of Austrian minerals.

Thanks Martin. I'm afraid the pieces that I posted are all I have from Austria. I am looking forward to seeing some of your Austrian minerals.

Some time back I posted a suite of minerals from the mines at Dal'negorsk, Russia. While Dal'negorsk is arguably one of the most famous mining areas in Russia, there are tens of thousands of mineral deposits throughout this large country. Many have been explored, but have yet to be mined. Over the next few days, I'd like to show some specimens from elsewhere in Russia. I'll start off today with a few zeolites from a seldom-seen locality in Eastern Siberia.

The Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit is a massive sulfide deposit located approximately 35 km from the Kazakhstan border. Mining commenced in the mid 1990's, and in late 2007 a zone was discovered which produced beautifully crystallized arborescent coppers and cuprites that some consider among the world's best. Here are a few specimens from this deposit which has become a contemporary classic.

Michael,
Those last four specimens are knockouts !!!
I'm glad you checked the copper pseudomorph off your list.

Michael, it has been a real treat to see these fine Russian minerals. I especially like the cassiterite; the axinite; the zeolites (especially the thomsonite) and the orpiment (1193Orpiment.jpg). The orpiment colour is amazing - has to be the orangest thing I've ever seen.
Regards, Mike

Hi,
It is always a pleasure to enjoy your photos. Nice lorenzenite.
I flashed to the clinochlore. Amazing.
Roger.
