Mike,
I really enjoyed that gypsum from the Machow Mine (1200 Gypsum.jpg, page 26), what a bizarre specimen! I also like the sulfur (0767 Sulfur.jpg, page 26) from that same locality.

Thanks Jamison. The Machow Mine has been closed for many years now, but at one time it was the largest opencast sulfur mine in Europe. I rarely see specimens from this locality on the market nowadays.

Hi to Laura.
Don |
Thanks Don. I have finished photographing all of our regular-sized specimens and have started to photograph all the thumbnails. They present a whole new set of challenges.
Say hello to Gwen.

I like the reddish blue-cap elbaite from California! It's a small relative of a lot of famous tourmalines that came from that area ...

Thanks Don,
This was one of two minerals that were on my wish list for Denver. I was very happy to see Valere Berlage set up at the Marriott Show and he had several very nice pieces to choose from. By the way, the other piece on my list was the ram's horn gypsum from Morocco that I posted a few days ago. So, I consider myself fortunate to have found both pieces.
Say hello to Gwen.
