Nice photos and specimens! The pyromorphite from Braubach is especially valuable for being an old classic hard to find nowadays. I own one but is by far behind yours.

Tobi you can upload/attach several images in one post. On the subject of your photos I like the Elbaite from Paprok. Interesting watermelon color zoning. The Beihilfe Mine mine reminds me of Fluorite from Flamborough Quarry due to the zoning and inclusions and the general habit.

Paragenesis of four minerals from Davib East Farm in Namibia: A 4 cm vivid green fluorite crystals with phantoms inside sits on a 6 cm quartz crystal and on several schorls up to 6 cm, there are even some small pale beryl crystals attached to the schorl. Specimen height 6,5 cm.

This specimen is really a struggle to photograph, the combination of the different minerals is a challenge for my simple digital camera, so please excuse that the pictures are not as as good as the fluorite and pyromorphite photos yesterday :-(

 Mineral: Fluorite, quartz, schorl, beryl
 Locality:
Davib East Farm 61 (Davib Ost Farm), Karibib District, Erongo Region, Namibia
Dimensions: Specimen height 6,5 cm, fluorite measures 4 cm, quartz 6 cm, largest schorls 6 cm, the tiny beryls 3-4 mm

Great additions to your collection that is steadily improving. I guess the photos don't make justice.

Thank you, Carles!

And I would be glad if someone could help me with this one: An interesting combination of quartz (reminiscent of Huanggang specimens) with tourmaline. I only know it comes from Madagascar, if someone has an idea about the locality I would appreciate your help!

Nice macros Tobi!
Is this a regular reflex camera with a macro lens? Which lens is that?
By nature the more you magnify a subject, the shallower the depth of field becomes but you managed somehow to overcome this issue...

To be honest, Gérard: I have no idea what lens this was. It was just by chance, that the husband of my girlfriend's sister came for a visit, he's a passionate photographer and had his 6,300 € Canon high end camera with him. So we decided to use it for some macros from my mineral collection. But really, I have no clue about the equipment, except for the fact that it was a very expensive Canon. But to be honest again: I don't care, I'm just happy that I got the chance to get some photos like that. But I can ask him about some data concerning the camera ;-)
