Very nice specimens and good photos, Michael! I like all of them, but especially the orange fluorite from France. Reminds me of the orange "honey spar" fluorites from Wölsendorf, Bavaria, Germany; though that one from France is more gemmy than most of them ...

Thanks for the comments Tobi,

I have seen a few from the Marienschacht Mine that look similar and there are probably more from other mines in the district. Unfortunately, I don't have a good German fluorite in my collection. They don't appear on the market very often, at least not here in the U.S.

This specimen has to be one of the most unusual in my collection in terms of mineral associations. The front of the piece shows a typical sphalerite, chalcopyrite, quartz, and rhodochrosite association from the Starnitsa deposit in Bulgaria. However, the back side of the specimen is much more interesting as it is partially covered with creamy-white stilbite crystals. A zeolite and sulfide association is something that you don't see too often.

The front side shows a nice combination of minerals.

Hi Michael, your post on 3rd September of the specimen from the Starnitsa Deposit in Bulgaria, there appears to be be tiny spiky white crystals near the bottom of the photo associated with the stilbite. I can't resolve the terminations as they are so small, but I thought they looked like laumontite, or apophyllite.
Regards, Mike

Hi Mike,
It would be neat if they were laumontite or apophyllite because that would make 6 minerals on this rather small specimen. However, having examined this piece carefully under the scope, I must report that they are just tiny quartz crystals :>)
