PostPosted: Feb 16, 2018 15:29    Post subject: Re: Gail Spann's Tucson Adventures. February 2018.

Set up day at the Main show, Wednesday. We hosted another Pod Cast breakfast event, something we are excited about. Jim and I were the hosts and interviewers. Today was Kris Keilman, Jolyon Ralph, Peter Lyckberg, Alan Hart, Mike Rumsey and John Cornish. It was an exciting breakfast table! Great questions and solutions.

Then on to the main show! We were meeting up with our sponsored guest, Duncan Keller from Yale University and the Peabody Museum as well as the new Registrar of the Perot Museum's Lyda Hill Gems and Minerals hall, Keven Betancourt.

It was going to be a super busy day!

...We applaud all those that take the time to put in exemplary displays. It is a lot of work, and it is sometimes difficult. But what everyone does is amazing.

...One of the highlights of my year is the fact that the Perot Museum of Nature and Science is putting in it's first ever display of the Matrix Aquamarine. Rob Lavinsky was kind enough to help facilitate the procedure. Kevin, our new registrar of the museum helped also.

I am on the Board of Directors of the Perot Museum.

I have intended to load many photos today, but Jim and Courtney are opening many flats of what we bought and I had to go and fall in love with the minerals all over again, it's like Christmas!

...This photo, well, one day we think it will be historic. These three young people will be part of the future in the American Mineral World. Kevin, Courtney and Duncan are devoted to the mineral world, and our hopes are they grow, and prosper, by meeting so many incredible people.
