Good day
I have found this pepple near the glacial pans in the Douglas area next to the Orange River in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. It is a powdery light blue colour with orange brown lines and markings going through it. It is the same hardness as quarts and don't seem to leave behind a mark on a porcelain tile. Any idea what mineral it could be?

Thank you
Jannie

Looks like a piece of vein quartz (the grey bits) with some of the remnant matrix/host rock mixed in (the brown bits). It has been smoothed by rolling action in water at some point.

And we could also add, it appears to be fine-grained (cryptocrystalline) quartz, what would be considered a type of jasper; brownish along the streaks/fractures where it includes a lot of iron oxide, and the base bluish-gray color where it does not.
