Again a wonderful specimen, Arash, thanks for sharing. But another advice to make the forum and the connected gallery work well: Please use complete locality names instead of just a province. I looked on Mindat for such analcime/barite specimens and it seems as if this one is from

Mount Kahovan, Moalleman, Qohab-e Rastaq, Amirabad District, Damghan, Semnan Province, Iran.

Please use this as locality information, or at least a reduced form:

Mount Kahovan, Amirabad District, Semnan Province, Iran.

Thank you :-)

An interesting specimen of a rare mineral "Zunyite" from southern Iran. The beautiful crystals of this mineral are found with Hematite.

Thanks Tobi. I am glad you liked it. And that rare mineral Zunyite is a very new find from Iran.

The color of this specimen is a very notable and spectacular among the mimetites of Iran. What makes this specimen very unique is that many of the botryoidal balls have split to two halves and a smaller ball have grown up in the middle. Very fascinating scene .

A very beautiful and interesting twinning Zunyite macle. Zunyite is a very rare mineral and this specimen is really unique regarding the kind of its macle and its pink color. I have recently found this specimen in Iran and it is on display in may museum (Jahanbin museum). This photo includes two sides of the specimen.

Very aesthetic specimen. I like that kind of mimetite, it reminds me of the Badenweiler locality here in Germany that produces very similar orange mimetite "balls". Really nice!
