A beautiful contrast on that specimen. Nice to see that not only the many many fluorites from Wölsendorf are appreciated but also the "eisenkiesel" quartzes that occured there in several mines and created such wonderful contrasts with the fluorite matrix. A nice Bavarian classic!

It appears that the open fluorite is the only hollow crystal. The fluorites at the top of the piece are exposed on the backside and show that they are solid with a coating of quartz. The remaining fluorite crystals could be hollow.
