Hi Joseph, I will not exclude other localities (e.g. Pfannenberger Einigkeit Mine), but this could indeed be a specimen from Becke-Oese.

Thanks Tobi,
I have it on file in my notes as Becke-Oese but I have misplaced the original label that came with the specimen. When I couldn't find any images that were similar from the locality, I wasn't sure that I wanted to attribute it to the location.

Thanks Tobi, I received that in a trade back in the 90's. It's in very good condition and the galena sits on sphalerite.

Joseph, nice pieces. Congratulations!!!

Regarding the last photo of Beryl with Albite, I think it comes from Shigar Valley.

Hi Manuel,
Thank you for the compliment on my collection pieces. As far as the beryl goes, I can only go with the information that was provided with the specimen, it was one that I purchased many years ago. If the consensus is that the locality is incorrect, I have no issue with changing it.

Cheers,
Joe

Always nice to see an aesthetic and well-crystallized sulphur specimen that is NOT from Sicily :-)

From an old collection, a nice dravite from New York. Unfortunately the picture does not do this specimen justice. The dravite group measures 7x7x2.5 cm and the specimen was cut from a much larger matrix piece.

Isokite (the orange mineral) with sphalerite and pyrite from the Panasqueira Mine. This specimen was given to me as panasqueiraite and was received from one of the mine geologist's. After having the specimen analysed, the analysis indicated it was isokite.

I agree. It doesn't look as from Huanggang at all.
Considering the shape of the Quartz (fat in the center - thiner at its top) and the shape of the Tetrahedrite (small crystals, sharp and with a great metallic luster) I would say Cavnic, Romania.
If you agree I will re-label it as from Cavnic. Otherwise, sorry but we should retire this piece of this section, in the "Collections" section only identified localities are allowed. Thanks for the understanding.

I wasn't sure whether it was Romania or Peru but I knew it wasn't Huanggang. I would defer to your assesment, as you are certainly are more experienced than I am in this material, you can go ahead and make the change. Thanks Jordi.
