Like many mineral collectors, at the beginning I was fascinated by Fluorite specimens. I've changed my mind because I've found other aesthetic specimens, especially I like pieces with specimens' associations.
That's because fluorite is one of the most beautiful things nature creates :-)

Sorry Jordi to have forgotten, I was quite sure to have put the location - Krushev dol mine, Madan ore field, Smolyan Province, Bulgaria.
Hope is not to much work to modify my post.
Have a nice evening.

Thank you Tobi. I'm always surprised with the number of errors I encounter with labels and localities. For a beginner it's frustrating that you can not trust the information you received.

It is frustrating, yes, but that's the way it is. As long as people find, label and deal mineral specimens there will be such mistakes. Even in museums you see labels with wrong localities or mineral species, somehow this is s a part of our hobby. But an advantage of the digital age is that you can share your specimens in places like this where a lot of people can discuss them and correct mistakes :-)

Regards
Tobi

P.S. I think there's more on that specimen than the three minerals you mention: The dark-grey crystals are galena, the tiny purple cubes fluorite, the white stuff baryte. But what about the colourless transparent crystals on the upper right of the specimen, maybe anglesite or cerussite? I'm not an expert for the locality, maybe someone else can confirm ...?

You are right it's a good way to learn to verify the location and all the components when you buy something.
I use this post to thank all the persons who take time to help all the visitors with their knowledge. I hope to be able to do the same soon .
Have à nice evening.

Hello everybody,
I've posted in my photos' collection a Malachite from Congo. I wonder if there is a way to find a more precise location ?
Thank you for your answers and have a nice day.

Impossible to be sure from where is https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/download.php?id=94281
Too many places in Congo give Malachite like this. Is some possibility that it could come from Mashamba West, you can write this in your personal records but better don't use this option here (and so in you FMF Gallery) because we recommend to use in FMF only confirmed localities.
