Isabela Province, but what country? Also, have you done any tests on it: hardness, streak, etc.? The more information that you can provide, the better chance that this will be properly idenitified.

Hi Kevin,

Isabela Province is located in the Northern Philippines, I have done test on hardness of the specimen, it is brittle.

Hi Ricky, it always helps to provide as much information as possible. Kevin already gave you a hint what we need to help you identifying this specimen.

And please change the locality information in your post, instead of just "Isabela Province" you should write "Isabela Province, Cagayan Valley Region, Luzon, Philippines".

Regards
Tobi

Hi Ricky, I forgot to mention a few things.

First, it's better to show minerals dry as in your last photo. When they are wet often the colors aren't the same as when dry, and the moisture can "round" features which makes identification of crystals/cleavage planes/etc very difficult.

In instances like your specimens when there are several minerals present, try to do tests on each mineral, then list the results for each mineral in the rock separately. Sometimes the association of minerals can give clues as to their identity.

Last (and I know this can be very difficult) try to take photos that are as sharp as possible. In the case of small crystals it's especially important to clearly see the details.

There seem to be slender crystals on your specimens (the arrow points to one). There are several possibilities of what these could be, but without being able to clearly see them I don't want to make a guess at this point.

I don't know about minerals from the Philippines, but my first guess from your multiple photos is that the example is not natural. Man created decorative stone or glass with many small glass or crystal bits cemented together and used to construct something or make a decorative object.

If natural, my guess would be some type of volcanic lava with small crystalline components cemented together. BOB
