Hi Dany, the combination of fluorite in pale shades of green or blue or purple with baryte is common in several Black Forest localities. So I can't tell you for sure if this specimen is from Grube Teufelsgrund, but it could be ...

Hello everyone !

Could someone help me to find or confirm the location of these two minerals ?
The first one was sold as a Brazilian one.
The second one as an American or Mexican one.

Thank you in advance.

Hello everybody,

Is it possible that this gypsum is from Niccioleta Mine, Massa Marittima, Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy ?

Thank you in advance.

Nice week-end to all and keep safe.

Hi, Dany. How are you?

Are you at least sure that your gypsum is from Tuscany?
If so, the habit and size of your crystal are compatible with Niccioleta mine. Traces of pyrite could confirm the locality.
Another nearby locality that produced big crystals, often with the same habit, is Gypsum quarries of Roccastrada. Here, sometimes, the crystal faces show a particular texture due to dissolution for rainwater exposure, as I had the impression to recognize on your specimen (just an impression).
I hope it serves.

A warm greeting from Gavorrano (about 30 kilometers from Niccioleta and from Roccastrada).

Thank you Sante for your answer.

I'm fine but I miss the mineral shows and you ?

The gypsum is from an old collection (Deyrolle - 1967) and was sold with Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy as location.
My specimen looks more Roccastrada than Niccioleta but because I'm not sure I will keep labeled Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy.

Have an excellent weekend and keep safe.

Hi, Dany.

I'm fine too, thank you. And I also miss my usual mineral shows...
As for your gypsum, if you don't see any pyrite traces and, moreover, you see some dissolution patterns you can be sure it comes from Roccastrada and not from Niccioleta.
I've handled hundreds of specimens from both localities and many dozens are in my collection.
Crystals from the many other localities in Grosseto province don't show that size associated with that habit.

Un bon week-end à toi aussi.

Hello Sante, yes my specimen is Pyrite free and has some dissolution patterns so I'll have à more precise location.

Thank you for your help.

Buona serata.
