Thank you Tobi for your comment.
My last post was on 8 july last year. The last six months I had to pay attention to some other things, but now I'll continu the presentation of our collection with three zeolites.
Cheers,
Rob

A Gypsum specimen that came on the market in the 80's and that was seldom seen since then. It was found in the historic The Hallein Salt Mine, also known as Salzbergwerk Dürrnberg". On Mindat it's called Rock Salt Deposit. It opened for visitors in 1994 and hosts a museum (Wikipedia).

The "dust" on the Azurite crystal is in fact the reflection of the floodlight on the Malachite under the surface of the Azurite. So the replacement was in progress.

Beautiful and interesting actinolite with a very appropriate nickname...
I also like to give nicknames to the specimens that excite my imagination.
Greetings from Tuscany.

Blue Scorodite. Ex-collection of Pierre Rondelez, who collected this piece in 1982, which was - as he said - his best Scorodite find in more than 100 visits to the Clara Mine. A fragment of this find was for a long time displayed in the mineral museum of Oberwolfach.
The second photo is a close-up of the same piece.

Congratulations on your very beautiful specimens.
How did you get the Pyrite from Niccioleta mine?

Thank you Sante.
We bought it in Amsterdam in 1976 for fl. 135,- which is – indexed - nowadays about € 170,-) from Job Ritman, one of the three Ritman brothers (see Wikipedia “Joost Ritman”). They were true collectors; the book collection of Joost Ritman is one of the most valuable in the world. Job Ritman was the mineral collector and he sold minerals and paintings in his art gallery “Job-Art Amsterdam”. We also bought a big beautiful piece full of almandine garnets from him. I’ll post that later.
Greetings,
Rob

Hi Rob,
that scorodite from Clara is really outstanding, a magnificent specimen! And that large museum piece of almandine is also very impressive. Congratulations on two wonderful pieces :-)
