Rosette growths of lamellar Wurtzite crystals with a very sharp hexagonal contour and unusually large in size for the species, on matrix and with cube-octahedral crystals of Galena. This well-known specimen, which comes from the Rock Currier collection (No. 6516), is considered the best of the find and among the most reputable.

PostPosted: Aug 05, 2020 16:56    Post subject: Popular Minerals - Fluorapatite from Panasqueira, Portugal

The upper levels of the great classic mine of Panasqueira are now producing very good specimens. We have gone from a period of scarcity to the current wealth, but in my opinion we are in a transitory period that may end when the mine goes to different areas. So far several pieces as this zoned crystal of Fluorapatite, isolated and well placed on its matrix of Quartz and Muscovite, have been recovered.

PostPosted: Sep 14, 2020 04:22    Post subject: Re: Popular Minerals

I don't collect silver specimens and I must confess I'm not that into wire silvers, but that one is stunning and can compete with Freiberg/Germany and Kongsberg/Norway, the two Holy Grails of natural silver specimens!

And I love that yellow selenite from Canada posted some days ago, great specimen!
