Congratulations Tobi !

You deserve the red star with a beautiful collection, your knowledge of the German and international mineralogy and the time you always take to answer the questions even the basic ones.

Hope to be able to meet you in a mineral show.

Nochmals herzlichen Glückwunsch !

Dany.

Vielen Dank, Dany :-) Yes, would be cool to meet one day in person, if Corona should be defeated and mineral shows would take place again ... until that, we meet here in this great community!

Thank you Enrique!

And also thanks to all the others here that browsed this thread, liked my photos and commented on my humble collection. There are so many here that own better specimens, make better photos of them and have more knowledge than me, but the more it makes me speechless that this topic has so many views! Thank you all, you make this forum a great place for all mineral enthusiasts, keep up that good work and stay safe, guys!

Best regards and THANK YOU again,
Tobi

My first new specimen since I reached the one million views - this new addition to my quartz collection is a lovely alpine piece.
(My own photo will maybe follow but I doubt that I can capture the crystal as good as in that professional photo that was made by the dealer.)

At least I tried, maybe not the best photos, but I like how the crystal is "illuminated" by the sunlight. In the second photo you can see that the crystal is actually transparent (you can see my fingers throught it), but the chlorite creates of a frosted surface and the crystal seems only a little bit translucent. A bit strange and unusual, I like it :-)

Hi Dany,

thank you, I'm glad you like it :-) Like most quartz collectors, I love alpine specimens, and that crystal coated with chlorite is a good addition to my quartz collection.

Here's my final picture, I took one of the photos with the sun as back light and gave it a black background, it does that specimen justice.

Regards & stay safe
Tobi

Thank you, Volkmar, I'm glad you like it! I have been searching for long to find a good one with free-standing crystals that is a bit larger and has that vivid colour.

Thanks Michael!
Right, I just realized for the first time that your avatar is an Alnif quartz. I can't remember seeing it in your collection gallery, how large is the specimen? It looks great, I would like to see a larger photo. Or maybe there is one in your gallery and I don't remember?

Regards
Tobi
