Thank you Sante. I thought so too as I had never seen similar specimens before from Turt. Definitely a nice addition to the Romanian suite.

It's been 5 and a half years that Michael posted his avatar specimen as a large photo and while we discussed my new Alnif quartz I realized that I never commented on this one here. Lovely sculptural specimen, absolutely beautiful!

Btw, the green fluorite from Madagascar posted some weeks ago is also great, perfect specimen from that quite new find!

Tobi, thanks for your comment on the Madagascar fluorite and Moroccan quartz. It's really hard to believe it has been that long since posting that red quartz. I remember acquiring at the Tucson Show soon after they hit the market. I can still picture the piece sitting on a shelf as I entered the dealer's room. I was immediately drawn to that specimen and knew that I had to have it.

Thanks also to James for posting the direct link to the quartz.

Thanks Tobi. It's great to be able to share this wonderful hobby of ours. There is a small display case at our local public library where I display mineral specimens from my collection, changing them out from time to time. I always try to incorporate an educational theme and the library staff tells me it is quite popular. For several years I have also been writing articles for our club newsletter including photos of specimens to help illustrate the theme of the article. It has also been a great pleasure to be able to share my collection here on FMF, and I have very much enjoyed seeing the collections of other members.

Michael, that was a great statement concerning our hobby! I think there is no other way than an educational one if we want other people to join the rock collecting community. And the best teachers of that way are passionate people like you who share and explain the passion wherever they can.

Keep up that great and educational work!
Best regards
Tobi
