Hello Volkmar. I have never heard that expression "ugly azurites " referring to Veszelyite before. That is so funny. BTW, Kunming was the home of the legendary "Flying Tigers."

Maybe, "ugly" was the wrong word that I had in mind. In his book about China minerals, B. Ottens mentions Veszelyite from Geiju originally named as "less well crystallized" or "insignificant" Azurites.
