Im not really sure why stumpy's comment about Gails photography landed up on here, it has nothing to do with the topic. I like many others enjoy seeing things which I wouldnt otherwise get to see through the photographs in Gails posts.
I think this topic has run its course, Basically when I went to the NHM in February, I thought it was in places badly lit, some of the specimens were decomposing in the cases and the gift shop was (and still is ... Ive had a spy check) selling baked Amethyst as Citrine, a pet annoyance of mine. Now Im told these things have been sorted out, except the Citrine thing, which is an issue to be raised elsewhere. So jolly good, alls well that ends well.. Ill visit next time Im in London.

I had an opportunity while spending a few days nearby to visit NHM - London and to see the mineral exhibit again. There are many pictures posted in this thread, but I add to it rather than start anew. The posting consists of a few views I particularly enjoyed. I look forward ot the next visit.

Great to see the number of people looking at the mineral exhibit. This picture was one of the few 'open' times.

I always liked the El Horcajo specimen. Any idea of the size (it is hard to judge)?
