Very beautiful Llamas fluorite, Mike. A wonderful locality with superb and unique clear crystals, a good fluorite specimen from that quarry is also on my wish list.

Really cool to see such a vivid-purple amethyst from Murzinka. I don't remember many amethysts from there and I think even the precious gem minerals topaz and beryl are more common in that deposit than quartzes with such an intense colour. A real rarity!

Thanks Tobi! I think you are correct on the scarcity of quartz from the locality. I have probably only seen 1 or 2 available over the years.

Nice to see. I should have got one when one was offered to me, but sadly did not

What a wonderful aqumarine! You don't see many pieces from The Mournes on the market, for sure this is one of the best aquas ever found there.
And as usual, your photo is superb, it makes that gem glow!
Do you know when it was found?

In the Hunterian museum in Glasgow they have a Mourne one next to a Russian one so you can see the difference.

I gathered that way back when there may have been a bit of cross selling

This is on the bottom of the crystal. Could be when it was found. More likely it is when it was added to the collector's collection.
