Note From Evan Jones -
I researched Ray Archambeau and he was a prospector who lived in Congress, AZ. He passed away quite awhile ago. Apparently he found the coppers (1990) with a metal detector while looking for gold. This was a one time find with an interesting history.

If you get the MR just look at the issue (May/June 2022) in the What’s New in Tucson. Tom Moore did a short write-up on this find.
A little more history on this location. Amethyst from Stanley Butte is uncommon to rare. There was one small pocket dug 20 or more years ago with nice quartz crystals but nothing on matrix. The only pocket of really good quartz crystal (colorless) on andradite (green dressy crystals) was found over 40 years ago. Additional work was done in this area about 8 years ago with nothing being found. It is a very mineralogically rich area but the San Carlos Apache Tribe has closed off the area to collecting.

Amethyst on green garnet is something you don't see too often - great combination!

A little history on this one. It was collected by Graham Sutton in the summer of 1997, Dick Morris acquired it in 1998 from Graham. Frank Imbriacco got it from Dick at the 2022 Tucson show.

New fun addition to my collection. Former collections of Brook Davis, U.S. National Museum, Steve Pober, William Severance (with all the old labels). Figured specimen in Rocks and Minerals Pages 46-47 by Paul Desautels (1974). Picture below shows the Copper in the book that was signed by Paul to my dad. Talk about a full circle. Photo of Copper by Dan Weinrich.

Thank you Tobi and Don. These old type of coppers do not come to market very often let only with the history behind them.
