The locality for the "Tourmaline" from "Borova, Jasenia..." (presented on April 18th) in Slovakia is wrong. I trusted in the information and label of the former owner. After doubting this by a Slovak collector, I made a research and found out that the blue Tourmaline is from:
Rozna Borovina, Zdar nad Sazavou District, Vysocina Region, Czech Republic!
Could an admin please change this location?
I learned my lesson: Never trust an information alone, check it again if you didn't find it yourself....

A nice piece from a classic locality not far from where I live (~ 70 km). Mining around the Eisenberg started in the Middle-Ages and for centuries it was mined also for gold. Quite unusual for Germany which is a very mineral-rich country in general but not rich in gold. It is known as Germany's most prolific gold mine and an estimated amount of 1 - 1,5 tons of gold was mined there. Maybe not much compared to premium gold localities but outstanding for a German gold mine.
Some names in this area in nothern Hesse derive from mining. You speak German but most others will not know that the mine where your allophane is from lies on the "Iron Mountain" near "Gold Village" ;-)
