PostPosted: Jun 15, 2025 14:09    Post subject: Pyromorphite showcase

We all have our favourite minerals for many different reasons. My favourite mineral is Pyromorphite. I think it's an understated beauty. Ok it's not a gemstone crystal but in my opinion some of the natural formations are just as spectacular as a faceted stone. I love the variation in colouration and lustre.

My particular favourite location is the material from the Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria, UK.
I have many specimens of pyromorphite in my collection and decided to post a few that I found interesting.

If you have information, localities or photographs of any interesting pyromorphite specimens please add them to this post. I would be very interested to see and learn.

Regards, Forrest

Mystery???

Hi James, I hope it is Teeside. I would like to visit as it is just 30 mins away. I checked collection and all labels correspond for that material. A mystery location worthy of investigation!

Regards Forrest
