Hello,

Interesting initial posts of Missouri minerals. Malachite was a surprise. What is the source of the copper? I assume chalcopyrite.

Thanks,

George

Hello,

I have a couple to post this morning. The little Calcite is from the Williamsville Quarry, Butler County, Missouri. It is 1 1/8" (2.86 cm) high, and the Chalcopyrite crystals stand out well against the light gray matrix and is from the Brushy Creek, Greeley, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds County, Missouri. the specimen measures 4 1'8' (10.48 cm) across.
