PostPosted: Mar 11, 2012 16:02    Post subject: Collection of Joseph D'Oliveira

I am a Canadian collector new to this forum. Over the past few weeks I have enjoyed viewing the collection pictures posted by other forum members and would like to share a few pictures of my collection as well.

Here is a nice example of Tennantite from the famous Tsumeb Mine. The largest of the crystals is 2 cm.

Any recommendations to improve my posts would be appreciated.

Joseph,

Please try again to upload the image of the Calcite that you tried to upload yesterday, it should work now.

Yesterday we uploaded a "Spell Check" and a "Gogle plus" (+1) in FMF - English and it seems were created some unexpected minor troubles. Antonio Alcaide will publish soon a short text comenting these new features and how they works...

We also fixed your FMF Gallery. It didn't work before due your user name "D'Oliveira" (by the apostrophe), but is working now! ;-)

That apostrophe has caused me more grief in the computer age than you would know. I deal with issues related to it on a regular basis.

Thanks Jordi

Thank you Tobias,
I have a small collection which I limit to 300 specimens, these two pieces represent some of the better pieces that I have.

Especially the wulfenite is simply stunning! Such a large piece of wulfenite on matrix is a highlight for most collections. I hope you'll post more of your specimens - not only the best ;-)

Very interesting cluster of hoppered pink halite crystals from Searles Lake in California, USA. The pink colour is attributed to bacteria incorporated when the crystals are formed.
