Hi, Don!

Don't you have any idea about the Baryte and chalcanthite localities? Sardinia is rather large and there are several specimen producing mines, not to mention Arizona as you already know.

Some additional info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Carles,

Thank you for noticing. I don't have any information except what I found on the labels. Any assistance from the FMF members will be greatly appreciated. I do not ever wish to add the location unless I know it with a great deal of certainty.

Sincere regards,

Don

The Baryte looks as from Villamassargia, Carbonia-Iglesias, please check it here: https://www.mindat.org/gallery.php?loc=73289&min=549

About the Chalcanthite, I believe is almost impossible to find out from where it is, the Chalcanthite is normal in so many localities...

I agree with Mike: pyritohedron + octahedron? growth lines on octahedral faces? twinning plane of which kind of twin?

Amazing!!

Agates may not be of much interest geologically or mineralogically but I wish to share these next two pieces because of the natural patterns. I found two slabs of Montana Moss Agate with very unusual patterns. In order to enhance the visibility of the natural patterns I cut and polished these pieces.
