Hi Don.... and Happy New Year to you as well!

While I think your specimen of Calcite with Chalcopyrite is aesthetic and interesting, I have to seriously question your given locality.

The Elmwood mining complex in Tennessee certainly produced many fine calcites and some small chalcopyrites, (usually as inclusions in fluorite), but your example most probably comes from the Viburnum Trend mining district in Missouri. It may also come from the Tristate Mining District, also in Missouri.

The expression of the calcite crystal like you show is just not from Tennessee and the accompanying larger iridescent chalcopyrites like you show were both from Missouri and not Tennessee.

I suggest you recheck the specimen label and from whom you acquired the specimen.

Anyone else on the forum agree or disagree with my identification of this specimen?

Happy New Year to all, BOB

Yes, I also think it's not the style of calcite crystals from the Tennessee deposits we are used to seeing. Much more like to the ones from Missouri. I own several from both states.
