A Bogotá-based mineral dealer I work with told me that the locality of these golden humboldtine included quartz is uncertain - it could be either from Boyacá or Santander.
He also claims there was only one single find that was made about 15 years ago.
The material on display in Denver could actually come from a collection.
I will probably get more information on this find in a few weeks time.

Thanks for the information. The exact locality has been questioned by others.

I did some investigation in Bogota.
The first word of the locality name sounds a bit strange.
"Cabiche, Quípama, Occidente Province, Boyacá Department, Colombia"
"Cabiche" is one letter away from "Caliche"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caliche
It's the same word in Spanish e.g. Caliche.
Is "Cabiche" a typo, in reference to the original clay-like deposit on the quartz before cleaning?
I showed the photo to four mineral dealers in Bogota.
2 dealers had never seen this kind of quartz
2 other dealers remember having seen similar material a long time ago.

Would be worth double checking with the dealers who had these quartz in Denver how they ended up in their hands...
