It's a double ender too! On the bottom end there are two sets of rhombohedral faces that reflect light across the twin boundary - another feature that makes this special.
Also, is there heavier deposition of the green on alternate rhombohedral faces? or is this just an illusion the way the faces appear in the photo?

Wow! For Tongbei, it's an excellent and rare color of the garnets! Mostly they are typically orange. Very attractve piece!

It may have been one of the hardest to collect and a very costly trip but it was a gift from Scott Werschky at Miner's Lunchbox.
