Thanks Tobi! It's also pretty nice with a little backlighting. Really brings out the color gradations.

Same here, I also have a red tourmaline, but not such a deep red like that one. It's more light.

Mike, this is an incredible aqua specimen. The size, the condition, the colour (!), the shape, the contrast, this piece has simply everything! You always amaze us with great minerals - but this outstanding aquamarine is another level, at first sight I thought I am in the MIM Museum thread ;-) This piece with this photo could be on any book or magazine cover or show poster. But the amazing specimen alone would not be such a thrill if your photo was not that good.
Simply amazing, you can be really proud to have it in your collection. And really proud of your photography skills!
