| Update: this was last week at the Doctor's office. I am done with that whole breast cancer issue, totally on the mend and feeling wonderful. I lost my lovely long hair but am pretty cool with it short. So Tucson, here I come! ( just in time for the Westward Look show! ) |

Jim and I are busy packing the last of the displays and sending off to Tucson for the Main show. What fun, what work! Three large cases, two are just going to be different, and one is of our Western European minerals, all countries represented as per the TGMS folk's map.
Thank goodness for Elaine, who has been promoted to our collection's manager, she has been a great help again. Come say hi to her, she will be with us starting this Saturday. Her wonderful husband, Robby, is coming also.
We are excited to go, it's just such a great time.

Left at 4:30 this morning and arriving in about 1/2 hour for 14 hours of great conversation between me and Jim. An adventurous day indeed! But we are here, in sunny Arizona!

8:05 a.m. And just up after a much needed night of rest. We arrived and, with the help of our son Tom, unpacked our bags and then went up to the Gold Room for dinner. I think it was the superior gin and tonic that made my decision to go to sleep quite easy. Here is the first of Friday, February 6!

What a day! We talked to just about everyone, caught up on what was going on around the world. Fabulous! During the middle of the day we packed up our whole room, that we packed last night, and moved. We ended up in our old room again, where we stay year after year. But moving is a pain!
