Hello!
I'm a young, amateur rock collector with a pretty small collection. Most of my rocks are from souvenir shops or flea markets. There are a few that, despite my research, I'm having trouble naming. I'm pretty sure most of them are some sort of agate, maybe?
I should probably add where these rocks are from!
All of them are from souvenir shops in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, except for a few from a New Jersey flea market.
Please, if you know any of them, tell me the rock's number and name. Sorry there are so many.

3) milky white and translucent. It has fuzzy-looking white and dark green formations inside, kinda looks like mold
4) red-orange with a dark brown splotch on the bottom. If you look closely you can see very faint lines on the one side. |

| Description: |
5) the closest thing to the specimen I've found in research is a type of coral fossil? Not very shiny, and it's lumpy.
6) a relatively flat piece, the top half is milky with dark spots, and the light blue bottom is separated by thin banding on the sides. |

| not really much to say about either of them. I think they're both agate, because of the bands, but their crystals seem more visible from my other agate pieces? |

11) the picture is pretty accurate. It's kinda of translucent.

15) kinda looks like marble or granite in the sense that it's very solid and not translucent at all.

For those who want us to help identify a MINERAL specimen, we ask that you first look at: "What is this? / Where is it from?" and provide us with some basic information about the specimen as well as a sharp photograph. We want to help those who are truly curious, but people must demonstrate their curiosity by providing us with key information before we will help them. Sorry to be so strict but we have received too many queries from people asking about material that just doesn’t interest us.

I agree with Matt that this is not the right forum for such cut and polished pieces of rock, but I can help you with the information that you are right, most of them are agates, some of them look dyed.

Here you are my opinion about. Please take it as an opinion and not as a diagnosis.
1) agate with inclusions
2) agate
3) mossy agate
4) carnelian agate
5) probably jasper
6) agate
7) artificially dyed agate
8) agate
9) agate
10) agate
11) artificially dyed agate
12) artificially dyed agate
13) artificially dyed agate
14) agate
15) artificially dyed agate
16 carnelian agate.
Despite "this is not the right forum for tumbled and polished stones", I gave you an opinion as a gemmologist. Of coursse further analyses are required for a proper diagnosis. But, as I told you already once, a cut gemstone IS a mineral, but for organic ones (i.e. pearls, ivory, coral, amber etc.). The Munich mineral show gave all of us a good example in the last years with articles about "gem rocks" (=Edelgesteine) in its catalogue.
